Frances Ralston-Good,

Frances is responsible for leading the Hearts & Science UK team and her ambition is to help her teams and clients become as agile, open and data informed as possible.

Prior to joining Hearts, Frances was Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer across OMG UK, working across the agencies to develop solutions that meet new, existing or inarticulate needs through more effective products, services, and technologies. She has also run scale media accounts in the UK from Sainsbury’s to the BBC, a full service agency in Australia and was appointed Managing Director of PHD UK in 2011.

Frances sits on the OMG UK board, the IPA Effectiveness group, the APG leadership committee and is a ‘WACLer’ (Women’s Advertising Club of London). In 2015 Frances was named Campaign’s number one Media Planner. And to top it off, she’s also a qualified ski instructor who can ski on one leg.

Steve Taylor,
Chief Product Officer

As Chief Product Officer Steve is responsible for the design of Hearts & Science's product and service offering for the UK market. Before joining Hearts & Science, he ran PHD's 'Discovery' team, developing a multi-disciplinary approach to data, insight, user experience planning and martech consultancy for UK clients across the grocery, travel, automotive and entertainment verticals. His experience across more than 20 years in advertising and media spans market research, direct marketing, digital strategy, account, and communications planning.Steve is not normally the judgemental sort but is currently training to be a J1 swimming official. Take your marks… 

Garrett O’Reilly,
Managing Director

As Managing Director, Garrett is responsible for the day-to-day operations and performance of Hearts & Science in the UK. Garrett leads Hearts UK’s 130-strong team spanning Client Servicing, Audience Planning, Marketing Sciences, Data Planning, and Activation. He’s a champion of finding a better way of working for the agency in order to create additional value for our clients. He’s MIPA Accredited – the IPA's badge of professionalism – and has all 3 IPA Professional Qualifications including the Excellence Diploma.

Garrett grew up in Holywood, County Down – the same town as golf superstar Rory McIlroy (who continues to make Garrett’s 7 handicap look rubbish).

Mark Swansborough,
Chief Commercial Officer

Mark has over 20 years of media agency experience, working in the OMG UK Agencies of PHD and Rocket prior to joining Hearts. Mark is media planner by background and has worked on a host of high profile accounts across many different categories. His client experience includes working on brands like HSBC, First Direct, UKTV, SEGA, GAME, BT, Toshiba, MINI, Porsche, the Co-operative Group, Pilgrims Choice, RSPCA, and Harvey Nichols. Over the years Mark has worked on a host of innovative award-winning campaigns and his successes include Campaign, Media Week and Marketing Effectiveness Awards. When he’s not busy developing the commercial side of the UK business Mark still enjoys reliving his youth playing football (badly!), and is taking his FA coaching badges to help him make a better job of managing his son’s U7s football team. He also enjoys the odd round of golf and sportive.

Nicola Hames,
Finance Director

As the Finance Director at Hearts & Science UK, Nicola is responsible for leading financial strategies to facilitate ambitious growth plans. She has a strong track record in finance best practices and implements them to support the agile environment of our agency. Nicola has more than 15 years of experience in both media and production including seven years audit experience at Deloitte in London and New York. Nicola is key to establishing successful commercial models that secure long-term successful relationships between our clients and Hearts & Science. Nicola loves country living and when not at work, can be found cross-country running, horse riding and walking with her family.

Laura Braithwaite,
Chief Experience Officer

Laura is responsible for enhancing our agency culture, championing the experience of working with and for Hearts & Science. With over 20 years media experience she’s worked across a wide range of client categories from beauty, confectionary, retail, through to government behavioral campaigns. This diversity of experience provides the inspiration to encourage our inquisitive know more culture, constantly seeking to build emerging capabilities for all our staff. Laura’s focus is on providing our clients with the best ideas, firmly rooted in the most rigorous data-driven insight.

James Londal,
Chief Data Officer

James joined Hearts & Science from Mylife Digital where he worked on AI systems and data tooling to help the England Rugby Team and Lawn Tennis Association player identification and match strategies. Prior to Mylife James worked in Financial Services helping companies such as: HSBC, Legg Mason, T Rowe Price, Putnam, DST Systems and Lloyds Banking Group embrace Data Science and Machine Learning.
